Terms & Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using Goeie Hoop Vervoer Spoeddiens' courier services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use our services.

2. Services

We provide courier and delivery services across South Africa. Our services include:

• Express courier services
• Standard delivery services
• Next-day delivery services
• Parcel tracking and monitoring
• Insurance options for shipments

3. Prohibited and Restricted Items

GHVS reserves the right to refuse any shipment that is illegal, unsafe to transport, inadequately packaged, or otherwise cannot lawfully or reasonably be carried.

Where a shipment contains prohibited, undeclared or inadequately packaged goods, GHVS may refuse carriage, return the shipment to the sender, or take any other action reasonably required. Any additional costs incurred may be charged to the sender.

4. Sender's Responsibilities

• Ensure all shipment details (dimensions, weight, addresses) are accurate
• Package items securely and appropriately for transport
• Declare the true contents and value of shipments
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
• Provide correct and complete delivery information
• Be available at the collection address during the scheduled collection window

5. Pricing and Payment

• All prices quoted include VAT unless otherwise stated
• Prices are calculated based on the greater of actual or dimensional weight
• Fuel levies and remote area surcharges may apply
• Incorrect shipment information may result in additional charges
• Payment must be made prior to collection unless a credit account is established
• Truck collection surcharges may apply for oversized or large-quantity shipments

6. Collection and Delivery

• Collection times are estimates and may vary due to traffic, weather, or operational requirements
• Truck collections require at least one business day's notice
• Delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed unless specifically agreed in writing
• Multiple delivery attempts may incur additional charges
• Proof of delivery (POD) will be obtained for all deliveries
• Incorrect delivery addresses provided by the sender may result in additional out-of-route charges

7. Claims

• Claims for loss or damage must be submitted in writing within 7 days of delivery or scheduled delivery date
• Original packaging must be retained for inspection
• Claims must include proof of value (invoices, receipts)
• We reserve the right to inspect damaged goods before settlement

8. Truck Waybill Requirements

For truck collections, customers must send their waybill to the relevant branch email:

9. Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, terrorism, strikes, pandemics, government regulations, or failure of transportation infrastructure.

10. Data Protection

We collect and process personal data in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). Customer information is used solely for service delivery and will not be shared with third parties without consent, except as required by law.

11. Amendments

We reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on our website and become effective immediately upon posting. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of amended terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.
